History

Our Story After moving to Topanga some 12 years ago, Sara & Urs Baur soon recognized that the Canyon, brimming with creative and industry professionals, needed a unifying force to connect all the creativity and talent and to provide a forum for storytellers to explore and collaborate through sharing their work with an appreciative audience. What was once a festival in their backyard seven years ago, has evolved into a vibrant community supported festival and the newly founded Topanga Film Institute.
